The 301 Derby Dames is a skater owned and operated flat track roller derby league located in Southern Maryland. We are strong, motivated women promoting athleticism through the sport of roller derby. Our goal is to empower women and build self esteem by creating a sense of camaraderie among our members. We embrace women of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, and skill levels. The 301 Derby Dames train hard, play hard, and respect our teammates as well as our competitors. We strive to support and give back to our community through volunteering and raising money for local charities.

Potential Roller Girl Checklist:

• You've been to a roller derby bout and thought, "I can do that."

• You're looking for a fun, new sport that puts you hip to hip with the coolest girls in town.

• You've always wanted to participate in a full contact sport.

Paintball is an action packed, adrenaline rush that we play to challenge our minds, bodies and souls. It can provide a positive outlet of controlled aggression through teamwork, discipline and sacrifice. Viewed by most, it is merely a recreational activity to be enjoyed on occasion through birthday celebrations, church groups or bachelor parties. However for a select few, this is a SPORT. Much like other more mainstream and socially acceptable sports, it requires hard work and strategic planning. Paintball requires members of a team to bring their individuality to the forefront and learn how to think and react as a cohesive unit. We are Maryland Mayhem, and we are part of the select few.

Southern Maryland's first all female flat track roller derby league!

Southern Maryland Roller Derby, Inc. (SMRD) is a women's flat track roller derby league that trains to create competitive roller derby teams. SMRD provides a safe and supportive environment for a diversity of people that fosters acceptance, respect, camaraderie, self esteem, athleticism, and good sports(wo)manship. As athletes and ambassadors, we gladly provide information about the sport to the community and strive to be encouraging role models. SMRD continues to support and give back to our community by volunteering, donating, and fundraising for local non-profit charities.
