Cliff’s Heating & A/C Celebrates Springtime!
With Spring in full bloom and temperatures rising, the time has come to make sure your HVAC system is operating at maximum efficiency. Cliff's Heating & A/C is here to help with a few tips to help ensure you won't be left overheated in the dog days of summer.

  • Tune-Up your HVAC system
Similar to changing your car’s oil, your HVAC system requires regular maintenance. Cliff's Heating and A/C offers Preventative Maintenance Agreements that provide tune-ups before each heating and cooling season. This kind of maintenance saves you money and energy and extends the life of your system.
  • Regularly change your HVAC filters
New filters help your system to run more efficiently. Dirty filters cost more to use because they overwork your system and lower your indoor air quality and health.
  • Have Cliff's Heating & A/C install a Programmable Thermostat
A programmable thermostat is a big money saver. This type of thermostat controls your HVAC system based on your schedule. Instead of heating or cooling your house while you're out to maintain your comfort level, you can set your thermostat to start heating or cooling even before you get home.
These are just a few tips to help you save money and energy this season and to ensure your family's comfort. For additional tips on making your HVAC system more efficient or to schedule a Spring Tune-Up, call Cliff’s Heating & A/C today! (301) 884-8167

Feline Fine: Rescue Groups Help Cats Live Happy Healthy Lives
"Spike" had severely deformed front legs, "Clark Kent" was having trouble breathing due to a bone deformity, and "Wonder Kitty" was blind when each cat was taken in by members of Last Chance Animal Rescue (LCAR) in Waldorf, given the medical treatment it needed, and ultimately given a chance to live a happy, healthy life.

A Hometown Musician Making It Big
Sam Grow shouldn't be humble. The singer-songwriter from Charles County is enjoying success on the iTunes charts, taking his band on nationwide tours, and often playing with some pretty big names in the music business. But when I thanked him for agreeing to be interviewed, his response was to thank me for wanting to interview him.

It is this humility that makes Grow so likable, and perhaps why he enjoys such a large Southern Maryland following. His talent doesn't hurt either: It takes only a few minutes of listening to his music to be hooked. Grow's powerful voice and catchy melodies sound as if they could be heard on any major radio station.

Cycling the Roads Less Traveled
As the weather turns ever more pleasant, the great outdoors beckon. Why not enjoy a little fresh air and sunshine while taking in Southern Maryland's beautiful vistas from the saddle of a bicycle?

There's something special about being outside as a long, cold winter transforms into bright, warm spring days. In Southern Maryland, spring means days spent by the water and road trips to familiar haunts like Point Lookout, Solomons, Cobb Island and North Beach. For many, those trips involve pulling a bike from the dusty spot where it wintered in the garage and heading out to a trail or the open road.

Green and Clean in Southern Maryland
For Southern Maryland, what's old has become new.

As alternative energy becomes more common and cost-effective, businesses, residents and governments are harnessing ages-old resources such as the wind, energy from below the earth's surface, and the sun.
