A Hometown Musician Making It Big

Sam Grow shouldn't be humble. The singer-songwriter from Charles County is enjoying success on the iTunes charts, taking his band on nationwide tours, and often playing with some pretty big names in the music business. But when I thanked him for agreeing to be interviewed, his response was to thank me for wanting to interview him. It is this humility that makes Grow so likable, and perhaps why he enjoys such a large Southern Maryland following. His talent doesn't hurt either: It takes only a few minutes of listening to his music to be hooked. Grow's powerful voice and catchy melodies sound as if they could be heard on any major radio station.
