The Southern Maryland Online Classifieds are very popular in the community. Since the posting of free ads is limited to individuals who are posting personal ads for items or services that are not sold on an ongoing basis for profit, we have created several advertising options to allow businesses to take advantage of the popularity of the classifieds.

  • Looking for new employees — somd.careers has become the go-to place for jobs in the region. Post online and get immediate exposure, all for a fraction of the cost of local print media.
  • The Service Directory — Think of it as your online business card. Advertising is all about top of mind awareness. People may not need your services or products today, but when they do, you want your name to be on the top of their mind.   • Real Estate Professionals — Whether selling or renting property, we can help. Classifieds are available for Real Estate Sales and Real Estate Rentals.
  • Regular Business Ad — You are also able to insert a business ad into a normally free section. Please refer to the prices and posting rules for the classifieds and make note of the section The Honor System for Business Ads.
  • Premium Business Service — $15 surcharge per ad. Instead of tying up your staff to post and renew your ads, our staff will do it for you. You also have the option to keep your credit card on file for automatically billing or we can invoice you. NOTE: the $15 fee is in addition to any regular classified ad prices. The classifieds are completely self-service. Just register for an account, place your ad, and pay online with a credit card. Your ad posts immediately. We accept VISA , Mastercard and American Express . Alternately, you can opt to mail a check and we will activate your ad when payment is received.
