Anti-War ProtestWhile a rally to support the Troops was underway a few blocks away at the Ellipse in front of the U.S. Capitol, anti-war protestors took to the streets of Washington. Some estimate their number as high as 100,000. What isn't commonly revealed in many press reports is that the protest was organized by a group known as International ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War & End Racism). ANSWER is run by activists from the Workers World Party. According to LA Weekly, the WWP is a socialist group who "advocates socialist revolution and abolishing private property." The LA Weekly also reports that the WWP is a fan of Fidel Castro´s regime in Cuba, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il, and former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic. Read the complete story here.
