I moved here two weeks ago from the Philadelphia area. My parents have been here two years, they also moved from the Philadelphia area. Before I got here I wanted to start searching for a job and my Mother told me to look at this site. I have found it very helpful. There are alot more jobs for me to apply to here then what I find in the newspaper. I look everyday and usually there is somehting there. I have also found that because I am unfamiliar with the area the at this site is helpful in finding other things that I need to find. I am glad this site is here for me. Thanks Christine |

My name is Cheryl Perry. When my husband was in the navy we lived in Lexington Park. I worked in St. Mary's Hospital in the late 70's. St. Mary's County was a great experience for me!!! Everyone at the hospital was friendly and treated me like I had lived there all my life. I worked with Aggie L., Alice B., diane, Beverly & Johnny M.,Dana, Peggy to name a few. I don't know if any of them still work there, but let me tell you....working on P1 in the old hospital on 3-11 was the best! In fact St. Mary's was my first job as a new LPN at the time. I am still in nursing and consider St. Mary's to be one of the best jobs I have had in the past 21 years. In fact a nurse I worked with 21 years ago at St. Mary's Hospital(she now lives in Bremerton WA, and I live in Largo, Fl) was the one who told me about this site. I appreciate the info and update on MD. Great job! I will check this site often! THANK YOU!!!! Cheryl Perry |

I found your site while doing some historical research on my family history. I've inherited a photo album from my father's side of the family and I'm trying to identify the years the photo's were taken. The photo's are all at Piney Point and there are references to "after the hurricane". It appears from other photo's that the pictures were taken sometime between about 1920 and 1935. I was hoping to find some historical information on when Piney Point may have suffered a hurricane and what hurricane it was. My next step will be to try to identify the many unidentified people in the photo's. I would be most interested in any information anyone may have on a hurricance hit on Piney Point, anyone that knows or knew of the Boyd family that used to vacation in Piney Point in the 20's and 30's, a house called Pine Rest, the Piney Point Light House, the "Barge"(?), or any other information from that time/era. If there is any information available or if there is some place on the internet where I can do research, I would very much appreciate assistance. My e-mail is wanderer@texas.net. Thank you. Jennifer Smallwood Anderson from Greenville, SC USA on 21 September 1999 |
I visited the Smallwood house with my family in the late 70's. It was unusual to see the name when I was growing up. It wasn't that common, and still isn't. I wonder if I'm related to the General? |
