| I'm a 70 year man whose father was born in 1903, there in S. Md. at home on a farm known then as "Rosebank"island. His name was Joseph Howard Johnson, whose father John, is buried at St. Francis Xvair Cath. Church (or on the road to it)--many of the old family names are inter married with such as Mattengly (my gramdmothers maiden name), Raley (Pauline, my Moms maiden name), and the Guy's ( Aunt Amy Guy, Cousin Albert Guy, ) and then there was a Dr. Johnson my great uncle, Johnson Johnson and his son Thile who were caretaker of the JOHNSON HOMESTEAD farm where they lives located somewhere near St. Marys or Matthews? cath.church on Rt. 5 -- my dad told of having to take the row boat around the island each day as a 7yr.old child, and by the time he made it back, the boat would be filled with oysters and crabs-all with a crab net, they were so plentiful then. There are so many more stories!-- If you could get in touch with any of my kin or you could give me some insight as to how to get in touch with them, I would very much appreciate it, Thanks!
