The Animal Control Division enforces the State and County Code dealing with Animal Regulations that ensure the humane care and treatment of animals and to encourage responsible pet ownership. This includes, but is not limited to nuisance wildlife, the apprehension of unlicensed dogs, unwanted or injured domestic animals, in addition to performing cruelty and animal bite investigations. Animal Control works closely with a number of county and state public agencies, the Tri-County Animal Shelter, and other humane animal groups to appropriately respond to animal related issues.Mon- Fri 7:00 am to 4:00 pm call 301-475-8018. The focus of the housing authority is to optimize rental and home ownership opportunities for citizens whose annual income does not exceed 80% of the median income. The authority will work to provide housing for all citizens of need.As of 03-May-2011, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the Housing Authority will be open for full service business; however, walk-in counseling and the Rental Assistance Department Staff will not be available on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Walk-ins will have limited access to forms/information available in the reception area on those days. The Housing Authority’s business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
