July 25 - 27 Historic St. Mary's City Dig history? Get into archaeology at a free lecture on underwater excavations at Historic St. Mary’s City (HSMC) on Thursday, July 25 in the Visitor Center (18751 Hogaboom Lane) at 7 p.m. Then, on Friday and Saturday, July 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., get down and dirty with the pros at Tidewater Archaeology Days. Help recover bits of Maryland's past, take special guided tours of excavations and the archaeology laboratory, and discover how researchers use historic and archaeological evidence to re-create the past. $10.00 for adults, $6 for students, and free for those under 5 years and active duty military families with I.D. 800-762-1634. www.stmaryscity.org.
