Latonya Michelle Bannister of Lusby, Md located in Calvert County and Gary Preston Butler of Oakville, Md located in St. Marys County were married on Saturday, April 28, 2007 in St. Aloyious Church, Leonardtown MD. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frankie Bannister. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Butler.

The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Jamaica.

Latonya attended public schools in Calvert County and later joined the public school system in St. Marys County. Graduating from Great Mills High School in 2000, Latonya came right out and joined the United States Army. The bride served 4 years in college while in the Army and discontinued her stay in 2004. She holds an associates degree from Long Island University-Brooklyn in Forensic Science.

The groom Gary Butler graduated from Leonardtown High School in 1998 and attended ITT Technical Institute and holds a associates degree in Cable Installation Technician
