Mrs. Johnson earned her Associate Degree at the age of 63, from Brevard Community College, Brevard, FL as a straight A student. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. she was also a member of the Eastern Star and the American Legion, she volunteered for the American Red Cross between the early 60's to the early 70's, and worked for the USO during WWII.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband William T. H. Johnson, three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughters: Evonne Kerrigan (Tom), of Hughesville, MD, Ellona Rodgers (Melvin) of Waco, TX and Michelle Burton(Lou) of Sugarland, TX, sisters: Mary Szabo, Pauline Galanti and Helen Tate, also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

A Life Celebration was held on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD.

Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery on April 3, 2008 at 10:00AM
