Charles A. Busey, 82, of Long Island, VA formerly of Nanjemoy, MD died September 9, 2014. He was born on November 23, 1931 in Ardmore, MD to the late Charles and Lillian Busey. He is also predeceased by his sister Lillian E. Busey Chinault and his brother Daniel W. Busey.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Legates Busey, children; Charles R. Busey (Christine), Michael W. Busey (Kathy), James T. Busey (Michelle), James A. Mayola (Tina), John A. Mayola, and Diane M. Busey Hall. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Charles lived in Charles County since 1936 and worked as diesel mechanic for Safeway. He enjoyed farming, fishing, boating and studying the bible.

The family will receive friends on Saturday September 13, 2014 from 10 until service time at 12 noon at the Nanjemoy Baptist Church. Interment to follow in the Old Durham Church cemetery. Arrangements provided by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
