Edward Paul Sinsel Jr., of La Plata, MD died on July 29, 2014 at his residence. He was 81 years old.

Paul was a Senior Protection Officer and Chief Electrician, among other jobs, for 25 years with the General Services Administration (GSA) and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD. He served as an Engineering Program Manager and Security Instructor for DynCorp International and Rusco Electronic Systems. He also performed as a part-time instructor at the Charles County Community College and served several terms on the Charles County Board of Fire and Rescue Commissioners.

He is the son of the late Edward Paul Sinsel Sr. and the late Gertrude Irene Cranford Sinsel. He is also predeceased by his brother, Donald F. Sinsel and his grandson, Nicholas Alan Sinsel. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alice "Sweetie" Cooksey Sinsel; his son, Edward Alan Sinsel; his daughter, Caryn Daniele and her husband Larry; his granddaughter, Holly Garrison and her husband David; and his great-grandchildren, Clayton Garrison and Brooke Garrison.

Family and friends received on Monday, August 4, 2014 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with a Prayer Service at 7PM at the Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 10AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment at the St. Charles Cemetery in Glymont, MD.
