Barbara Jean Thompson passed in peace Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the age of 49. She was born August 19, 1964, in Washington, D.C. to the late Herman Daniel Edmonds, Sr., of Waldorf, MD and Juanita Marie Edmonds of Annandale, VA.

Preceded in death by her brother, Herman Daniel Edmonds, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Edward Thompson, Sr of Hughesville, MD. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories of her children; son Charles Edwards Thompson, Jr of Prince Frederick and daughter Danielle Marie Thompson of Golden Beach. Sister to Michelle Edmonds Reyes of La Plata, MD and Debbie Edmonds Jennette of Yorktown, VA. Further survived by her mother-in-law, brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Barbara will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a person that could put a smile on anyone's face and take in whatever stray animal that came across her path. Barbara had a strong passion for music and always had her Ipod in tow. She loved all kinds of music, especially hard rock and country music. There was never a person that was a stranger to Barb, she would talk to anyone.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 5 to 8 pm at Huntt Funeral Home, Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD. A funeral service will be held at Huntt Funeral Home on August 2, 2014 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
