Kevin Ralph Doreo, 50, of Lexington Park, MD passed away on July 28, 2014. Born July 30, 1963 in Poughkeepsie, NY he is the son of Carol Ann (Van Steenburgh) Doreo of Myrtle Beach, SC and the late Robert Ralph Doreo.

In 1981, Kevin graduated from F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, NY. Shortly thereafter, he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he proudly served his country for 8 years before he was honorably discharged.

In 1990, he married his beloved wife of 24 years, Julie Doreo. He was employed as a supervisor at the Test Pilot School at Patuxent River Naval Air Station by DynCorp for the past 21 years. He also worked part-time for Southern Maryland Towing for the past three years. Kevin was a dedicated employee and loyal friend to many.

His family was his greatest love and his top priority. He loved to spend time with them. He looked forward to the yearly family vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC. In fact he loved to sport around in his favorite beachwear, Ron Jon Surf t-shirts and hats. His hobbies included working on cars, riding his motorcycle, making "moonshine," and cheering the Chicago Bears football team to victory. He was a member of the VFW (California, MD) and a past member of the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department.

In addition to his mother and wife, Kevin is survived by his sons, Austin Alexander Doreo and Aaron Robert Doreo of Lexington Park, MD; his sister, Carol Lee Maldoven, of Myrtle Beach, SC; his twin brother, Keith Doreo of Myrtle Beach, SC and his brother, Robert Doreo, of Milaca, MN, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father.

Family will receive friends for Kevin's Life Celebration on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., with prayers recited at 4:00 p.m., at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
