Rose Marie Padgett Stone, 77, of Welcome, MD passed away on July 5, 2014 at Washington Hospital Center. Born on May 17, 1937 in Baltimore, MD to the late Lemuel L. Padgett and Beulah C. Padgett.

In addition to her parents; Rose is predeceased by her Husband; Russell Stone. Sisters; Ethel Milstead, Violet Taylor, Lillian Milstead, Ada Leone, Jeanette Vandergrift. Brother; Joseph E. Padgett.

Rose is survived by her Brother; Lemuel "Larry" Padgett, Sister; Helen M. Wise, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Rose enjoyed reading, watching TV, Camping, and her Cats. She was married for 28 years before her late Husband, Russell passed away. She had worked as a Switchboard Operator at the St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington D.C. before her retirement.

A viewing will take place on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm with prayers at 7 pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. in La Plata, MD. A Funeral Service will follow on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 9:30 am at the Funeral Home with Father Robert Kosty officiating. Interment will follow at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD at 11 am.
