Richard Calvert "Rick" Crim, 57, of California, MD died September 13, 2006 in California, MD. Born April 27, 1949 in Leonardtown, MD he was the son of Catherine Elizabeth Crim of California, MD and the late Calvin Samuel Crim. He was the loving husband of Jacqueline "Jackie" Willis whom he married on May 17, 1974.

He is survived by his children: Renee Kirk of Gettysburg, PA, Amber Ubalde of Dothan, AL, Richard Crim of Sembach AFB, Germany, Amanda Nickerson of Jacksonville, NC and Corey Crim of California, MD; siblings: John Robert Gatton of Glen Burnie, MD, James "Jimmy" Gatton of Merritt Island, FL and Dorothy Duckett of Leonardtown, MD and 10 grandchildren.

Mr. Crim was the owner/operator of Stelfoxx Towing for 25 years. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years from April 17, 1967 – April 16, 1970 he was a member of the 101st Airborne Division. His decorations and honors consisted of: Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ Device 1960 and Combat Infantryman Badge.

His hobbies were: traveling, visiting with his children and grandchildren, summertime eating crabs and oysters, his puppy scooter and working outside in the yard landscaping. His favorite was watching the history channel and documentaries. He was truly a people person and enjoyed meeting new people everyday.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2006 from 8:30 – 9:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where a Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lloyd Mast of the Mechanicsville Mennonite Church officiating.

Interment will be held at 11:00 AM in the Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. Pallbearers will be: Justin Corwin, Dave Duckett, Steve Vail, Michael Montalbano, Jimmy Gatton and Robert Gatton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tyler Hammett, Austin Ubalde, Alexander Kirk and Tristan Nickerson.
