Mary Ellen Mills passed away on June 18, 2014. She was born on June 20, 1921 in New York State to Ben and Emma Jurgens. The youngest of five sisters, she was the last surviving sibling.

She attended Indiana State Teachers College in Pennsylvania where she received her teaching degree. She taught in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.

Mary wed Ralph Mills in 1952 and had two sons. After retiring she became an award winning artist and was active in the local art community.

Mary is survived by her husband as well as her sons Martin Ralph Mills and Keith Thomas Mills and their wives; three grandchildren, Thomas Orin Mills, Jessica Lynne Mills and Sabrina Beryl Mills.
