Dorothy Lee Rosenbaum, 65, of Mechanicsville, MD and formerly of Brandywine, MD passed away on June 9, 2014 at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, MD. She was born on November 14, 1948 in La Plata, MD to the late John Ross and Sophie Ann Perrie.

Dorothy enjoyed quilting, camping, cookouts, family gatherings, playing slot machines, and driving her school bus. She was a retired school bus driver for Prince George County Schools.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her foster son, Leroy Ogg.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, James William Rosenbaum; children, Vivian Lynn McKenzie (Louis), David Jack Rosenbaum, Ora Louise Borrell (Robert Jr.), Jamie Rebecca Jones (James), and Sammy Lee Ogg; brother, Thomas Perrie; sister, Virginia Perrie; nine grandchildren, Michael McKenzie, Marty McKenzie, Scooter Borrell, Tiffanye Ogg, Edward McKenzie, Jack McKenzie, Victoria McKenzie, Aundrea Ogg, and Dillon Jones; one great grandchild, Sophia Rose McKenzie.

Family and friends will be received for Dorothy's Life Celebration on Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 17400 Aquasco Road, Brandywine, MD 20613. Rev. Marianne Christofferson will officiate. Interment will follow to the church cemetery.
