Thelma K. Farren, 80, of Accokeek died February 23, 2008, at Fort Washington Medical Center, Fort Washington.

Mrs. Farren retired after 27 years with the Prince George's County Board of Education. She was a charter and lifetime member of the Accokeek Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary.

Born September 15, 1927, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Harry E. Robey and Bessie E. Cole Robey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Farren, and grandson, Kenneth Farren.

She is survived by her children, Donna Rickett and her husband, James, Jack Farren and his wife Penny, Billy Farren and his wife Beulah, and Greg Farren and his wife, Sandi; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Feb. 29 at Raymond Funeral Service, La Plata, where a service will be held at 10:00 am on Mar. 1. Pastor Aaron Rummage will officiate. Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland.
