Edna Carrie Cain of White Plains, MD died on June 2, 2014 at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. She was 95 years old.

Edna was an office manager for 40 plus years with the Peoples Life Insurance Co. She enjoyed spending most of her week-end time with family and friends and indulging in good food – she liked her sweets and Coca-Cola.

She is the daughter of the late Henry Francis Shamburg and the late Rosie Effa Coffman Shamburg. She is also predeceased by her husband, George Emory Cain; her siblings, Frances Shamburg, Herman Shamburg, Everett Shamburg, and Emily Hough; and her late grandchildren, Clayton, Ronnie Jr., and James III.

She is survived by her children, Ronnie Shamburg, Billy Shamburg, Jack Cashman, Marlyn Stier, and Linda Hardy; her brothers, Gene Shamburg and Henry Shamburg; and her grandchildren, Andy, Brian, Wendy, Bucky, Anna, Stacy, John Michael, Heather, Jeff, and Jenny. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Connor and numerous other great and great-great grandchildren.

Friends received on Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 4-8PM with a Funeral Service at 7PM at the Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment at 1PM on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.
