![]() Anna Frances Charnock of Waldorf, MD died on May 1, 2014 at the Charles County Hospice House in Waldorf, MD. She was 88 years old.
Mrs. Charnock was a homemaker. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Washington, DC and worked for Capitol Cadillac before marrying her husband. Anna was a devout Catholic and devoted her life to her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Many great memories will be cherished of the big Christmas' and family vacations at the beach. She enjoyed playing Bingo, buying scratch-offs, and playing the slots in Vegas. She is the daughter of the late Raymond Hays and the late Emily King Hays. She is also predeceased by her husband, Edward W. Charnock and one brother, Raymond Hays; and two sisters, May Doyle and Dorothy Crotty. She is survived by three sons, Steven Edward Charnock, Sr. and his wife Carol, Dennis Michael Charnock, Sr. and his wife Brenda, and David Mitchell Charnock, Sr. and his wife Marci; and one daughter, Suzanne E. Brock and her husband Charles. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with three on the way. Friends received on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with Prayers at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 10AM at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf, MD. Interment at the MD Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
