William Henry ""Bubby"" Butler, Jr., suddenly departed this life on March 29, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Hollywood, MD to the late William Henry Butler, Sr. and the late Mary Madeline Jordan-Butler on April 20, 1943.

Bubby obtained his education in the St. Mary's County Public School system at Benjamin Banneker High School. He had many jobs throughout his life, but mainly he was a farm laborer. His last place of employment was at Vintage Value in Lexington Park, MD.

Bubby enjoyed entertaining people with his seafood dishes and his singing. One song he sang in particular was 'Tell it like it is'. He had a passion for riding motorcycles and standing on the seat yelling ""Look at me!"" Bubby also played the guitar and liked traveling around the county. Bubby enjoyed spending time with his family and friends whenever he could. He especially adored being near his wife, Jackie Queen (joke). He loved the game of football and baseball.

Bubby is survived by two sisters, Mary Louise 'Sissy' Butler-Neal of Lexington Park, MD and Francis Alberta 'Yea' Campbell of Lexington Park, MD; two brothers, James Aloysius 'Al' Butler, Sr. of California, MD and Joseph Thomas Butler of Lexington Park, MD; one brother-in-law, James Edward 'Butch' Bush and two sisters-in-law, Patricia Louise 'Wez' Butler and Louise Jordan. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a lifelong buddy, Bernard Thompson.

Beside his parents, Bubby was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Agnes and John Francis Butler, Robert Lee, James Paul, John Richard and Thomas Edward Jordan; brother-in-law, Thomas Lee Campbell; niece, Donna Easley; nephew, James Butler, Jr. and great-nephew, George Butler, Jr.

Family will unite with friends on Monday, April 7, 2014 for visitation at 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church , 22375 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park, MD. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
