Betty was a retired school teacher for the West Virginia, Prince George's County, and the Charles County Boards of Education. She was a member of the La Plata United Methodist Church, Church Historian, Daughters of the American Revolution, Dames of the 17th Century, Maureen Duvall Society, and the Md. State Teachers Association. She held a degree in Home Economics. She enjoyed Genealogy, crafts, knitting, and crocheting.

Daughter of the late Rev. Julian E. McDonald and the late Hiawatha E. Duvall Mc Donald.

Predeceased by her parents and one brother, Julian E. McDonald.

Survived by her husband of 52 years, Raymond Lee Rowe, one son, John A. Rowe of Aiken, SC, three brothers, Rev. Ramon E. McDonald of Davidsonville, Md., Wilbur E. McDonald of Oklahoma City, OK., and Franklin E. McDonald of Galesville, Md. Also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 10-11am at La Plata United Methodist Church, La Plata, Md.

Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 11am at La Plata United Methodist Church.

Clergy will be Reverend Edward Voorhaar. Interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Md. Pallbearers will be John Deans, Arnold Mohler, and Donald Rowe.
