Charles William "Bill" Simms, Jr., 70, of Port Tobacco died March 15, 2014 at his residence. Born September 22, 1943 in Olney, Maryland, he was the son of the late Charles William Simms, Sr. and the living Ann Hildebrandt Simms.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Kathy O'Brien Simms and their five daughters; Kristen Simms, Whitney Wenzell and her husband Richard, Heather Murphy and her husband Kenneth, Kourtney Leahy, Ashley Herrmann and her husband Siggy, ten grandchildren and two brothers; Richard Thomas, and Robert Tydings and his wife, Midge.

Mr. Simms was the owner of CWS Security Associates.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 11:00AM at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 8855 Chapel Point Road, Port Tobacco, MD. Father Salvador Jordan S.J. will officiate.
