Elizabeth N. Cochran "Betty", age 85 of La Plata, MD (formerly of Tuckerton, NJ), passed away at home on March 5, 2014 with her family at her side.

She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. She spent many hours solving crossword puzzles, reading books, and watching her favorite TV shows. She will be remembered for her beautiful crochet work that she often gifted to her family and friends. She loved her dogs and enjoyed feeding the birds and watching the squirrels.

Born December 21, 1928 in New Gretna, NJ she was the daughter of the late Max and Myrtle Archer of Accokeek, MD. She is predeceased by husband Calvin E Cochran and brother Max Archer Jr.

She is survived by her daughters Jean Price and her husband Rob of La Plata, MD and Ann Corliss and her husband Bob of Tuckerton, NJ; five grandchildren, Kim Corliss and her husband Mark, Bob Corliss and his wife Eva, James Corliss, Amy Pickerall and her husband David, and Valerie Bassett. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Breanna, Katelyn, and Jacob Pickerall, and Rilynn and Liam Corliss-Jones.

The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on March 15, 2014 from 2:00-4:00pm with a service at 3:00pm at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Ave., La Plata, MD 20646. Burial will be taking place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
