James Byron Parnell, Jr. of Warsaw, Virginia formerly of Waldorf, Maryland passed away on January 8, 2014 at the age of 69.

James previously worked as a painter and in construction, and in his later years worked at Walmart in La Plata, Maryland. He enjoyed working on the farm, planting irises and adored his cats.

James is preceded in death by his parents James and Ida Parnell.

He is survived by his companion Frances Vermillion; daughters Regina Puckett (Kevin) and Justine Parnell; sons James Parnell (Katie) and Rory Parnell; step son Kevin Hindle (Hattie); and fifteen grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Huntt Funeral Home Waldorf, Maryland on Sunday January 12, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday January 13, 2014 at 11am. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, Maryland.
