Dorothy Louise Vick, 89, of Bryans Road, MD died on December 18, 2013 at her home. She was born on February 24, 1924 in Washington, DC to the late Francis and Florence White.

She is also predeceased by her husband Keston Chyne Vick and brothers Kenneth White and Larry Day.

Dorothy was a very dedicated woman with strong family and work ethics. She worked at the Southern Maryland Hospital until retirement at the age of 81. After that she cared for her mother until her death at the age of 98. She was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

She is survived by her Sons, John L. Vick, Gary K. Vick (Elaine), Grandchildren Dwight Vick (Lisa), Tracy Vick, Dayna Huntington and her Great Grandchildren Gavin and Phoenix.

The family will receive friends on Monday December 23, 2013 at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD 20646 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm with a funeral service at 7 pm. Interment will be held at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery.
