Jeanette Mae Faber, 73, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away, December 19, 2013 at Genesis Healthcare, Waldorf, MD. Born November 20, 1940 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of George Thornton and Mae Katherine Hutchinson Thornton.

Jeanette worked as an administrator for the Federal Government until her retirement in 2003.

Jeanette was predeceased by her parents ,husband, Frank D. Faber and granddaughter, Courtney Edgar.

She is survived by her children, Tina Jernigan of Waldorf, MD and Melody Harvey of Mechanicsville, MD; siblings, William Thornton of Lexington Park, MD, George Thornton of Hollywood, MD, June Folsom of Clinton, MD and Joan Thornton of Huntingtown, MD; grandsons, Matthew Edgar, Nathan Austin, Robert Harvey, Robert Jernigan, DeAngelo Jernigan, DeVante Jernigan and Jayon Jernigan.; granddaughters, Katie Asprovski, Brittany Edgar and Destiny Harvey; great-grandsons, Conner Edgar, Brody Torres and Kiran Weaver.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 23, 2013 from 11:00A.M. - 2:00P.M. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A funeral service will be held at Brinsfield-Echols at 2:00p.m. Interment will take place at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD at a later date.
