Mildred Agnes Holek, 90 of Leonardtown, MD died November 5, 2013 at St. Mary's Nursing Center, Leonardtown, MD. Born March 21, 1923 in St. Mary's County, MD she was the daughter of the late Richard M. Woodburn and Beatrice Marie (Norris) Woodburn.

Mildred attended Our Lady's School and later attended Great Mills NYA. She worked at Millison's Restaurant in Lexington Park before moving to Baltimore to work at the Bureau of Engraving. After moving, she met the love of her life, Alfred Holek whom she married on January 11, 1947 at the Cathedral of the Assumption in Baltimore. Mildred later worked for a short time at the Esskay Meat Company before becoming a full time homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and most of all dancing.

Mildred is survived by her siblings, Theresa D. Cusic of Leonardtown, MD, Joseph F. Woodburn (Phyllis) of FL, Betty S. Seligman of SC, Norris E. Woodburn (Wanda) of Kinsale, VA, Mary E. Woodburn of California, MD, and Patricia A. Adams of California, MD.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Holek and her siblings, Richard M. Woodburn, Jr., Mary Adele Mattingly, William G. Woodburn, Charles B. Woodburn, Thomas J. Woodburn and Frances M. Mozick.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Brinsfield Funeral Home, 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Prayers will be recited at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 2130 Woodlawn Drive, Baltimore, MD 21207.
