Dallas Leroy DeMarr, 55, of Benedict, MD passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He was born on June 19, 1958 in Calvert County, MD to the late Henry Ellsworth DeMarr and the late Margaret Ann (Gray) DeMarr.

Born and raised in Southern Maryland, Dallas lived in the town of Benedict since 1964. Serving over 32 years in the HVAC field, he most recently held the position of Service and Installation Manager at Besche Oil Company. In keeping with the loyalty to his trade, Dallas was a lifetime firefighter serving his community for over 35 years with the Benedict VFD.

He loved riding his Harley, playing cards, beach and camping vacations, and the outdoors. But most of all, he loved being with family and friends and loved life in general.

Dallas is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Kristen Elaine (Buchanan) DeMarr; sons Dallas (Jason) DeMarr, Trevor Davis Franklin and Reid Nathaniel Franklin, daughter, Danyel Marie Wolfe and son-in-law Jayson Allen Wolfe, siblings, Jean Latimer, Sharon (Dale) Woelfl, Calvin (Donna) DeMarr, Barbara (Tom) Bowie, Jacqueline (Randy) Benfield and Patricia (Kurk) Staley; and two grandchildren, Zayna Marie and Zayleigh Grayce Wolfe.

Family and friends are invited for Dallas' Life Celebration on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (including Fireman's Prayers) at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Hughesville Baptist Church, 8505 Old Leonardtown Road, Hughesville, MD 20637. Fireman's Last Call Interment will follow to Chesapeake Highlands Memorial Gardens, 3270 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD 20676.

Pallbearers will be Ian Buchanan, John (Chopper) Latimer Jr., Calvin DeMarr Jr., Tyler Latimer, Tyler Lutz, Brandon Lutz, William (Rue) Hill, and Sean Kerrigan.
