Roland Fredrick Gundling, 76, of Waldorf, MD passed away on September 28, 2013 at his residence. Born on June 8, 1937 in Lanham, MD to the late William H. Gundling, Sr., and Clara L. (Moore) Gundling. Also a Brother; William Gundling, Jr. (Dottie). Sister; Margaret Calbaugh.

He is survived by his Wife; Linda C. (Frost) Gundling. Children; Fredrick Gundling (Katrina), of Texas, Pamela Myers of Bowie, MD, Theodore Gundling, of Waldorf, MD., and Laura Smith of Ellicott City, MD. Brother; James Gundling (Dorothy), of Treasure Island, FL. Sisters; Mary Wahl of Ephart, PA, and Caroline Thomas of Bradenton, FL. Grandchildren; Heather, Aubrey, Rachel, Taylor Marie, Bryce, Logan, Landon, and Mina.

Roland had retired from the printing industry in 2001. He had also served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years.

He enjoyed being with his Grandchildren, working in the yard, and home improvement.

Viewing will be on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. in La Plata, MD. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD.
