Alexis Lee "Pop" Frye, of Prospect, VA (formerly of Bel Alton, MD) died on September 23, 2013 in Lynchburg, VA. He was 69 years old.

Pop was a retired carpenter with the Department of the Navy (N.O.S.). He served as a volunteer fire fighter for 43 years and he loved hunting.

He is the son of the late Alexis Lee Frye and the late Ida Beonia Crugger Frye. He is also predeceased by three brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Teresa Diane Burns Frye; two sons, Cory L. Frye and Alexis L. "Bubby" Frye; one daughter, Angela R. Parker; two sisters, Joy Mae Richards and Ann Edgerly; six grandchildren, Logan Adelman, Cory Frye Jr., Gina Frye, Gary Foshee, Dylan Foshee, and Brayden Frye; and one great-grandchild, Noah Adelman.

Friends received on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with Fire Department Prayers at 7PM at the Bel Alton Volunteer Fire Department, 9765 Bel Alton-Newtown Road, Bel Alton, MD 20611 and where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 9:30AM. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
