Anthony Joseph Malatesta of La Plata, MD died on September 17, 2013 at University of MD Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. He was 92 years old.

Mr. Malatesta was a Superintendent and Building Engineer with Organization of American States and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Plata, MD. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #108 in Cheverly, MD, DAV #36 in La Plata, MD, and Wicomico Golf Club. He loved golfing, swimming, and spending time with family.

Son of the late Angelo Malatesta and the late Margaret Shaefer Malatesta. He is also predeceased by his wife, Eileen Isackson Malatesta; his daughter and son-in-law, Carol Ann Lawrence and John; one brother, John Malatesta; two sisters, Gertrude Perry and Gloria Kitchen.

He is survived by one brother, William "Bill" Malatesta; one sister, Dorothy McDonald and husband Bruce; three grandchildren, Anthony Bryson and wife Beth, Angela Nester and husband Wesley, and Sarah Lawrence; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan Nester, Garrett Nester, and Isabella Bryson.

Friends received on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 10AM-12PM. Time of Remembrance from 12PM until time of Funeral Service at 12:30PM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
