The hourglass of time has slowly but surely spilled its contents, and with the passing of the last grain of sand went the life of a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend. Louis Lowell Brawner was born August 2, 1934 to the late Ignatius Brawner and Mary E. Bealle. Peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2013 at his home, he entered into eternal rest, surrounded by his family. Louis received his education through the Charles County Public Schools. He was a brick layer for several companies in Maryland. He loved to work with his hands putting together puzzles and building churches and dollhouses out of popsicle sticks. He also loved watching baseball, TV game shows (The Price is Right & Let's Make a Deal)two of his favorites, playing cards and listening to country music. Although what he enjoyed most was being surrounded by his family and friends. He met Elaine Estep and they dated for 10 years before getting married. Out of 47 years of marriage they had 10 children. Louis was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and James (Buster) and four sisters, Beatrice (Vee), Mary (Bootsie), Gertrude and Estelle, one sister-in-law, Linda Estep and grandson, Corey. He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine and their ten children, Tara (Artis), Dean (Diane), Dana, John (Cindy), Lynda (Butch), Denitra (Gary), Dashell (Stephen), Derick (Vickii), Louis Jr., (Kita) and Jason; twelve grandchildren, Devon, Brandy, Brandon, Kathy, Brianna, Cameron, Jasmine, Ava, Damontae, Julius, and Airiana; one great granddaughter, Faith. He was also survived by his sister, Ida Makle, brothers, Joseph (Delores) and Henry (Mary) Brawner, sisters-in-law, Ellen, Marilyn (William) and Sheila, brothers-in-law, George, Edwin, Francis and Earl and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
