David Robert Burch of La Plata, Maryland died on Friday, August 31, 2013 at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He was 69 years old.

Affectionately known as Dave, Mr. Burch was born on October 1, 1943 in Leonardtown, MD and was the son of the late Emma C. and John A. Burch.

He worked at the Athletic Department at Georgetown University with 42 years of service before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to and having yard sales, raising chickens and rabbits, listening to country and bluegrass music, but most importantly, spending time with family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, the late Bernard Burch Sr., Theodore Burch and Leo Burch.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bonnie G. Burch; daughters Kathy Ann Burch Willett and her husband Tommy of Virginia and Carol Lynn Burch of La Plata; his sons Ricky Burch of La Plata, Wayne Burch and his wife Sharon of La Plata; his sisters Josephine Taylor, Mae Goldsmith, Jennie Lynch and Pearl Joy; his brothers Leslie Burch, Carroll Burch and Bobby Burch; his grandchildren Rebecca Burch, Patrick Burch, Samantha Bridgett, Paul Thompson Jr., Tyler McKoy and Autumn Burch; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 10AM until time of service at 12Noon at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
