Kathryn V. Porter, of Alexandria, VA formerly of Mechanicsville, Md., died on January 7, 2008.

Born April 11, 1927 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Allen and Elsie Wilbur O'Bryhim.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Porter was predeceased by her husband, Harvey E. Porter, Sr. and three brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her children; David A. Porter, Harvey E. Porter, Jr., Wayne M. Porter and Kathryn Romelotti, sister; Elizabeth Jackson.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am Friday, January 11, 2008 with Reverend Laird Thomason officiating.

Interment will take place on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 10:00am in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, Md. Memorial contributions may be made to Capital Hospice, Development Office, 6565 Arlington Blvd. #500, Falls Church, VA 22042.
