Margaret Teresa Jackson nee Jarboe, 88, of Leonardtown, MD formerly of Forestville, MD died October 1, 2006 in St. Mary's Nursing Center, Leonardtown, MD. Born February 2, 1918 in Washington, DC she was the daughter of the late Andrew Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Loveless Jarboe.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Edward Jackson, Jr. whom she married on October 4, 1940 in Holy Comforter Catholic Church, Washington, DC.

She is survived by her son: James Edward Jackson and his wife Dorothy of Clements, MD; siblings: Joseph "Mike" Jarboe and Leo Jarboe of Oxon Hill, MD; grandchildren: Joseph Jackson and his wife Victoria, Diana Pumphery and her husband Frank and Janet Jackson; great grandchildren: Brittany, Shelby, Shane, Amber, Olivia, Ashley and Hailey. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Mary Agnes Mangum, Raymond Jarboe, Andrew Jarboe, William Jarboe, John Jarboe, Martha Marr, Dent Jarboe and Louise Hagan; granddaughter: Megan.

Ms. Jackson was the queen of Knights of Columbus Forestville, MD. She moved to St. Mary's County from Forestville, MD in July of 2003. She loved genealogy, traveling and watching channel 9 soaps.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, 41590 Fenwick Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Fr. John Dakes officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
