William Jackson "Jack" Payne Jr. of Newburg, Maryland, died on August 12, 2013 in his sleep at home. He was 59 years old.

Jack graduated from University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA, Phi Beta Kappa, with a degree in history. For much of his life, he worked in the insurance business and later for the United States Postal Service.

Jack's life was filled with music, fishing, boating, the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He instilled the love of these to his daughter, nieces, nephews and everyone around him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, M. Carol Payne and his father, William Jackson Payne Sr.

He is survived by his wife Donna; his daughter Alexis Grace; his sisters Virginia Maxey and Patricia Payne. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will take place at a later date at Terrace Hill Cemetery in South Walpole, MA.
