Thomas Albers "Allie" Stickel of Nanjemoy, MD died August 5, 2013 at University of MD Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He was 72 years old.

Allie was a machinist for 36 years, retiring from the Naval Ordnance Station in Indian Head, MD and a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1963-1965.

He was a member of Old Durham Episcopal Church in Ironsides, MD. Along with his work as a machinist at NOS, he was also a full-time farmer. He loved hunting, gun collecting, reading, riding trains, and teaching kids on how to do things. He was a loving grandfather.

He is the son of the late William Henry Stickel and the late Mary R. DeMarr Stickel.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Frances M. Stickel; two sons: Thomas A. Stickel Jr. and his wife Brandy and James Matthew Stickel; one daughter: Wendy S. Bowling; two brothers: Richard C. Stickel and William H. Stickel Jr. and wife Katie; and two grandchildren: Megan and Haley Bowling. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends received on Sunday, August 11, 2013 from 5-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Funeral Service on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 11AM at Old Durham Episcopal Church, Ironsides, MD. Interment to follow at Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jack Weakley, Billy Brown, Preston Brown, Mike Bast, John Brookbank, and Jimmy Simpson. Honorary Pallbearers: Clifford Dennison and William Bowie and the United States Army Honor Guard.
