Richard R. Caron, 73, of Swan Point, MD died unexpectedly on July 28, 2013 at University of MD Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD.

He was born on February 20, 1940 in Springfield, MA, he was the son of the late Albert L. Wiehe and the late Helen Catherine Wiehe.

He was the dear husband of Charlotte "Bobbi" Caron.

He is survived by his children, Jeffery M. Caron and his wife Tina, Christine Deen and her husband Marty, and Janet Olsen and her husband Mark. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joshua, Madison, Justin and Jackson Caron, Garrett & Gabrielle Deen, and Veronica Olsen; his brothers, Dennis Wiehe and Leslie Wiehe; and his sister, Judith Levey.

He was a retired Washington D.C. police sergeant and retired government employee with D.I.S. He was involved with the Southern MD Youth Organization when his children were young serving as a coach, board member, and vice president. He belonged to B.P.O.E. in Waldorf, MD and the Knights of Columbus in Issue, MD. He loved to play golf, boating, and flying his plane.

Friends received on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 5-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11AM at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Issue, MD. Interment in the church cemetery at a later date.
