Diane Evelyn Kramer passed away on July 27 peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones. Deeply beloved wife of Richard (d. 2006), she is survived by her sons, Scott Righter and R.C. Righter; daughters-in-law January and Bree; granddaughters Connie Righter, Bethany Righter, and their mother and stepfather Jeannie and Ronnie Spittle, and Summer Righter; sister, Charla "Shorty" Burnette and partner Frank Bailey; mother-in-law Annette Kramer and many nieces and nephews.

Diane was born on August 24, 1943 in Washington, D.C. to parents Ruth and Charles Burnette. She grew up in Glendale, MD, and spent her adult life in Charles County, living for the last 24 years in Port Tobacco.

Diane was a woman of many interests and extraordinary energy. She had a vibrant successful travel agency, she herself was a world traveler, and she was a lifelong avid horsewoman. Diane was also a Master Gardener and a past-President and active member of the Charles County Garden Club. She was involved in numerous philanthropic and civic activities, including

Random Acts of Kindness, which assists needy families and individuals in the local community. Diane's warmth, graciousness, kindness, and generosity, as well as her loving heart, will be greatly missed by the many, many people whose lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charles County Garden Club. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, August 1 at La Plata United Methodist Church on Rt. 6 & Rt. 301 in La Plata, MD. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends following the service.
