Mr. Stewart was born in Indiana and served his country in the U.S. Navy where he proudly retired.

He served in WWII, Korean War and Vietnam.

He is survived by his children Linda Ritchie from Brandywine, MD, Paul Stewart from Humble, Texas, Bill Stewart from Suffield, Connecticut, and John Stewart Lynchburg, Virginia. He also was survived by 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was a former resident of Waldorf, MD for many years. This past year he moved to Lynchburg, Va.

A Memorial Service will be held 3:00PM Monday July 29, 2013 at the Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD. Burial will be held at a future date at Arlington National Cemetery.
