Luke Michael Bowie was born on March 7, 1947 in Pisgah, MD to Richard and Jennie Bowie. Luke was one of several children.

Luke was a participant at Spring Dell Center for over 40 years. During that time, he held many different jobs but excelled at custodial work, working at various contracts throughout the county.

In 1981, Luke was one of the first residents in Spring Dell Center's new residential program. Once he retired, he spent his days at Adult Day Services at Charles County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, which he so enjoyed.

Luke was also devoted to his church and loved gospel music. Luke loved to spend time with friends and enjoyed attending camp at Access Adventures.

He is predeceased by his parents and several other siblings.

He is survived by his sisters, Joan DiChiera of Parkville, MD and Clara Roberts of IL, and many extended family members and friends.
