Richard Thomas Keely, Jr., 78, of St. Leonard, MD, (formerly of Hyattsville and Bowie, MD) died in Prince Frederick, MD on June 14, 2013. He was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1934 to the late Richard, Sr. and Marguerite McGlinchey Keely.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957 and was stationed in Guam and Korea. He was employed by Georgia Pacific from 1959 until 1985 and was a building supply manager at the time of his retirement.He was an animal lover, especially dogs and enjoyed golfing, playing the guitar, riding motorcycles and raising tropical fish.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Keely and his first wife, Robertta Rohn of Hyattsville, MD; sons, David Keely and wife Linda of Takoma Park, MD, Donald Keely and wife Alex of Panama City, FL; Richard Keely of Prince Frederick, Michael Keely and his wife Kathleen of Harwood, Md and Jeffrey Keely and his wife Susan Myer of Silver Spring, MD; daughters, Karen Sillers and her husband, Daniel of Beltsville, MD; Diana Ciprich and her husband Thad of Owings, MD, Kelly Gygax and her husband Teddy of Bowie, MD , Carolyn Hutchins and her husband Ray of Prince Frederick, and daughter-in-law, Myra Bacon of Damascus, MD; nineteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A son, Stephen Bacon and a daughter-in law, Patricia Keely predeceased him.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10 am at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church, 5700 St. Bernard Drive, Riverdale, MD 20737.
