Robert Franklin "Bob" Rudy of Waldorf, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2013. He was 64 years old. He was born on March 29, 1949, in Washington, D.C., the son of Jack F. and Marjory G. Rudy.

He grew up in North Forestville, and Clinton, Maryland, in Prince George County. Bob attended North Forestville Elementary, Francis Scott Key Jr. High, and Suitland High School. He took many classes at College of Southern Maryland. He worked for Bell Atlantic for many years, before he retired in September of 1992.

Bob enjoyed being with the family, reading, walking, and current events, as well as caring for his long term companion and friend, Mary Ryan. He loved the Lord and was a devoted and long term member of Bible Baptist Church of Waldorf, Maryland. He also dearly loved his kitty cats, Gwen and Glory.

In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his brother, Don Rudy and wife Therese of Waldorf, Md., and sisters Susan Brink and husband Dutch, and Jane Mayes, and their families, of Culpeper, Va. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be at Bible Baptist Church, at 2941 Piney Church Road in Waldorf, Md. 20601, on Friday, June 7, 2013, at 4:30pm, until the service begins at 6:00pm. Following this, on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 12:00pm a memorial service will be held and interment in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, in Jeffersonton, Virginia.
