![]() Stanley Joseph Kozloski, Jr. of White Plains, MD died on Friday, May 31, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born January 23, 1937 in Plains, PA, he was predeceased by his parents, Stanley J. Kozloski, Sr. and Helen Dorothy (Duchnowski) Kozloski of Kingston, PA. In 1955, he graduated from Kingston High School and the Penn State Technical Institute's Draftsman Training Program for the US Naval Gun Factory, Washington, DC and then relocated to Washington, DC to work as a draftsman for the US Naval Gun Factory. In 1959, he transferred to the US Naval Research Lab, Washington, DC, retiring in 1995 as a Mechanical Engineering Technician with 40 years of government service. He was a US Naval Reservist from 1954-62. During his retirement years, Stan was employed at Accokeek Drug and Health Care as well as the White Plains Golf Course. Stan was a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church, Pomfret, MD since 1967. He was the first president of the Southern Maryland Youth Organization created in 1971. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance Washington, DC Lodge No. 848 and the Loyal Order of Moose Waldorf Lodge No. 1709. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, woodworking, and home projects giving great attention to detail, but most loved spending time with his wife, family and friends. Stan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, devoted brother, and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eve Ann (Krawiec) Kozloski; children Stanley III and wife Tina of La Plata, MD, AnnMarie Abell and husband Jerry of Leonardtown, MD, and Denise Cheseldine and husband Joey of Waldorf, MD; sisters Rose Hovick of White Haven, PA, Helen Solomon of Forty Fort, PA, Lorraine Celijewski of Marlton, NJ, and Ann Sivick of Bushkill, PA; grandchildren Brendan (Ashley), Patrick, Clayton, Evan, and Cadence; step-granddaughters, Melissa (Steven) and Megan; three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends received on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 5-8PM with Wake Service at 7PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph Way, Pomfret, MD 20675. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 11AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment to follow at church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
