Robert Eugene Kyte, 60, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away peacefully at Hospice House of St. Mary's, Callaway, MD on June 1, 2013. Born June 2, 1952 in Washington, DC he was the son of Leo Joseph Kyte and Juanita Gallanker.

Robert was a Manager for Giant Foods Stores retiring in 2008.

He enjoyed the ocean, basketball and watching college basketball championships (March Madness) and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He loved his grandchildren immensely and his favorite thing to do was play with them, as he was a big child at heart.

Predeceased by his parents, Robert is survived by his Wife, Linda Susan Gray Kyte; Children, Robert Edward Kyte, (Wife, Sarah) of Odenton, MD, Lori L. Kyte-Stockman of Mechanicsville, MD and Linda Kyte-Simon (Husband, Evan) of Madison, WI; Brothers, William L. Kyte (Wife, Mari) and Thomas Kyte; Sisters, Joyce Edgington (Husband, Dennis), Sandra Gartner, Brenda Lewis and Nita Pluebell; and six Grandchildren, Madison and Brett Stockman, Nathan and Benjamin Kyte and Abbi and Robyn Simon.

The family will receive friends for Robert's Memorial Life Celebration on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 3:00 - 4:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Deacon William Kyte will hold a Memorial Service at 4:00p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice House of St. Mary's, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
