![]() William Roy Willingham 71 of La Plata, MD died on May 21, 2013 in Washington, DC.
He was born on June 12, 1941 in Washington, DC to the late Roy Wilson and Thelma Virginia Willingham. He is also predeceased by his brother Roy Wilson Willingham, Jr. He graduated from La Plata High school in 1959. He was the owner operator of W W Fabrications from 1955 to 1992. He was married for 51 years a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was the heart of the family. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church where he was also an usher. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR the Redskins and loved crabs. He also spent time as a Scott Master and commissioner in the boy Scotts. He is survived by his wife Mary E. Willingham, sons William Michael Willingham (Bobbie) and John Allen Willingham (Alice), daughters Barbara Willingham Culp (Jack) and Carolyn Willingham Maguire (Jim), his twin brother Robert Willingham and brother Harold Eugene Willingham, sisters Donna Snyder, Sherry Moore and Betty Gardiner. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday May 28, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM with prayers at 7 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, MD. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 29, 2013, 10 AM at the Sacred Heart Church, La Plata, MD. Interment to follow at the Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
