Brown, Willie (Age 69) of Pomfret, Maryland.

Willie Brown was born October 4, 1943 in Newberry County, South Carolina to Willie James Brown and Lucy Jessie.

He was educated in the Newberry County Public School System in Newberry, SC. At an early age, he moved to Washington, DC. where he met and married the love of his life, Susie Cooper. From this union, three children were born.

"Brown" as he was more affectionately known was passionate about being a good provider for his family, and he did so by installing carpet. In fact, he was one of the best carpet installers in the entire Northeastern United States.

Brown was preceded in death by his parents; Lucy Jessie and Willie James Brown; a sister, Barbara Jean Cherry; and three brothers, Joe Lewis, John Earl and Curtis.

Peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the La Plata Center, Genesis ElderCare in La Plata, Maryland, Mr. Willie Brown transitioned to eternal life.

Left to Cherish Loving Memories are his Beloved Wife, Susie Brown; devoted children, Ceyonne Cooper Massey (Gary) of Oxon Hill, Maryland, Willie Brown, Jr. (Latonia) of Clinton, Maryland and Randy M. Brown of Pomfret, Maryland. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Damaya Brown; four grandsons, Terrence Cooper, Joshua Cooper, Darrian Cooper and TyReese Davis; six siblings, James Albert Brown of Ninety Six, SC, Calvin Isaac Brown (Karen) of Columbia, SC, Mrs. Bettie Smith (Charles) of Detroit MI, Mrs. Sara Leaks (Johnny) of Greenwood, SC, Mrs. Annette Quarles (Coley) of Washington, DC and Mrs. Jeanette Jones of Ellicott City, MD; one uncle, Mr. J.D. Hair (Elizabeth) other relatives and friends.

Viewing, 10am until time of Service, 11am, Saturday, June 1, 2013 in the Chapel of Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland. Interment, Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Maryland.
