Judy Lynn Kara, 50, of Mechanicsville, MD died October 8, 2006 in Mechanicsville, MD. Born October 5, 1956 in Leonardtown, MD she the daughter of Livy Ann Harrison Bowles of Mechanicsville, MD and the late Joseph Herman Bowles.

She is survived by her daughters: Ayla & Lisa Kara both of Mechanicsville, MD; son in-law: Shawn Obina of Mechanicsville, MD; siblings: Joanne Benfield, Kay Thompson, Eddie Bowles and Sharon Bell all of Mechanicsville, MD, Livy Lee Bowles of Lusby, MD, Dale Bowles of Charlotte, NC, Don Bowles of Cocoa, FL, David Bowles of Lexington Park, MD and Jackie Zielstorf of Hollywood, MD.

Ms. Kara was a life long St. Mary's County resident where she was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy Class of 1973. She was employed as an insurance agent for 15 years with Raley, Watts & O'Neill Insurance Company.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Mechanicsville, MD with Rev. Sheldon Reese officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Shawn Obina, Tim Zielstorf, Tim Bell, Gordon O'Neill, Charles Englerth and Joe O'Neill. Honorary Pallbearers will be: John Goldsmith and Patrick Deane.
